L'app usa la tua posizione per calcolare quali satelliti e aerei si trovano sopra di te. La posizione è ottenuta dal GPS del dispositivo oppure, se non disponibile, stimata dal tuo indirizzo IP tramite i servizi ipwho.is e ipapi.co.
Per mostrare gli aerei nelle vicinanze, le tue coordinate approssimative vengono inviate ai servizi pubblici di dati ADS-B (adsb.fi, adsb.lol, airplanes.live), che restituiscono i voli in quell'area. La posizione non è associata alla tua identità, non viene registrata dall'app né conservata dopo l'uso.
Il permesso fotocamera è usato esclusivamente per la modalità "punta il cielo" (realtà aumentata): l'immagine dal vivo serve solo a sovrapporre satelliti e aerei alla scena. Non viene scattata, registrata, salvata né trasmessa alcuna immagine. Il permesso è facoltativo: l'app funziona anche senza.
Il rilevatore EMF, se attivato, legge il magnetometro del dispositivo per mostrare il campo magnetico locale. Il dato resta sul dispositivo e non viene inviato da nessuna parte.

L'app non è rivolta ai bambini e non raccoglie consapevolmente dati da minori.

Dots in the Sky

This policy describes how the Dots in the Sky app
(package it.pinaltieri.satellitetracker) handles data. The app is
built by an individual developer as an independent, non-commercial project.
The app uses your location to compute which satellites and aircraft are above you. Location comes from the device GPS or, when unavailable, is estimated from your IP address via ipwho.is and ipapi.co.
To show nearby aircraft, your approximate coordinates are sent to public ADS-B data services (adsb.fi, adsb.lol, airplanes.live), which return flights in that area. Location is not tied to your identity, not logged by the app, and not retained after use.
The camera permission is used solely for the "point at the sky" augmented-reality mode: the live image only serves to overlay satellites and aircraft onto the scene. No image is captured, recorded, saved, or transmitted. The permission is optional; the app works without it.
The EMF detector, when enabled, reads the device magnetometer to display the local magnetic field. This data stays on the device and is never sent anywhere.
The app fetches data from public external sources, each with its own privacy policy: Celestrak and Mike McCants (satellite orbital data); adsb.fi, adsb.lol, airplanes.live (aircraft); NUFORC and UFO Stalker (UFO sightings); OpenStreetMap, Nominatim, Carto, ArcGIS (maps and geocoding); Wikipedia (info cards); Google Translate (translation of info text); RainViewer (weather radar imagery). When the app contacts these services, your IP address is visible to them, as with any network request. We share no other data beyond what each request requires (for ADS-B, the area coordinates).
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
